A B O U T

With 5 years of experience as a mixing engineer and producer and over 40 years as a musician in several roles, I will bring a blend of technical expertise and creative musical input to every project. My background is diverse, but I focus on blues, rock, folk, funk, and singer-songwriter music production and mixing. This ensures a focused and nuanced approach to your sound.
 

I first fell in love with music in my early teens, and soon after picking up the guitar, I began playing in church, and later on, everything from metal to ska in various bands. In my 40s, I decided to put down electric guitar and popular music and study the solo nylon string guitar. Studying and taking master classes with some of the leading classical guitarists in the world. During this time, I learned music theory, arranging, and site reading, but mostly it gave me a well-rounded understanding of how music works.
 

Around 10 years ago, I got back into the music I started with—the blues and blues rock, which I love for it's simplicity and gut emotion. During this time, I also learned audio engineering and decided to start Nuka Studios as a service for the roots and rock community.
